What's On?

As part of the planning and delivery of the Spirit of VE Day, which will take place over the weekend of July 26th and 27th at Newlands Farm, we are also providing a vintage market area and food court within the main showground. We will have militaria dealers, local food vendors, and small businesses selling crafted goods, along with a licensed bar under a long marquee, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Grab a drink, stroll over to the Victory Stage for live performances from renowned acts, or relax and listen to historians discuss key battles that contributed to the Allied victory in the Second World War at the TAC HQ Marquee. You might even catch the hosts of ‘A Very British Conversation Podcast’ recording a live episode at the show –a WWII-themed discussion Podcast.

The Spirit of VE Day aims to provide a family-friendly weekend where attendees can learn, enjoy, and immerse themselves at a price that won't break the bank! For families attending, there will be best-dressed awards and the ‘Victory Trail’ to follow, which will engage younger people in the wartime spirit. Alternatively, enjoy a ride on the many attractions in the funfair, which will be delivered alongside the show.

Live Music at the show

We have an array of live music planned for the two days including the brilliant Franch Signer Muriele and others soon to be announced over the next few months leading up to Spirit of VE Day in July.

There be a dance floor in front of 'Victory Stage' where you can jive and boogie the night away as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
